Ji Eun-hee yesterday won the U.S. Womens Open Championship in dramatic fashion, sinking a six-meter birdie on the last hole to clinch the title.
In the tournaments fourth round at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Penn., Ji shot an even-par 71 and end up at a level par 284, beating Candie Kung of Taiwan by one stroke.
Making her debut in the LPGA with a conditional seed in 2007, Ji is the fourth ethnic Korean to win the U.S. Womens Open, following Pak Se-ri in 1988, Birdie Kim in 2005, and Park Inbee in 2008.
