Amid the closure of communication lines at the Panmunjom Red Cross liaison offices of the two Koreas after the March 26 sinking of the naval vessel Cheonan, a North Korean soldier watches movements in the South through binoculars Wednesday in front of Panmungak, the North Korean building at Panmunjom. Seoul asked Pyongyang to promptly release the crew of the South Korean fishing boat Daeseung 55 on humanitarian grounds.
