Hangeul Proclamation Day

With only a day before Hangeul Proclamation Day, children yesterday form Korean characters at Hangeul Space in front of Heungryemun at Seoul`s Gyeongbok Palace. Exhibitions of video clips containing hangeul (the Korean alphabet) and old letters written in hangeul will be held at the space from translucent balloons and bamboo trees. Under the theme "Hangeul: Beautiful Vessels Containing the World," the event is hosted by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Ministry and will run through Oct. 14.
