NBA superstar LeBron James had another gloomy birthday in 2008.
His Cleveland Cavaliers faced the Miami Heat yesterday on his 24th birthday, and James had 38 points. The Heat prevailed 104-95, however, thanks to 21 points each from Dwayne Wade and Mario Chalmers.
Wade, who had a birthday party with James the day before the game, also had 12 assists.
James scored 24 in the second half, but came up short in his third NBA game held on his birthday.
The Cavaliers also had their six-game winning streak snapped.
Heat forward Shawn Marion added 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Boston Celtics lost their third in four games, this time to the Portland Trailblazers 86-91. Blazer Steve Blake scored 21 points.
The Milwaukee Bucks beat the San Antonio Spurs 100-98. Spurs center Tim Duncan missed a tying layup with 3.2 seconds left.
