Former President Roh Moo-hyun said yesterday that he is willing to appear before prosecutors for questioning over his alleged illegal removal of classified documents from the presidential office before the end of his term in late February.
In a brief message posted on his Web site, Roh said, "If prosecutors intend to question me, they dont have to travel all the way to my home. I`ll come to them."
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office said it is considering sending prosecutors to his home in the village of Bongha, North Gyeongsang Province, to question him about the case.
He said he made his comments after reading an article run by the Dong-A Ilbo.
A prosecutor said, We are still negotiating with the former presidents side over investigation methods and the proper date for the probe.
