Cargo Ship Runs onto a Rock, Killing Three Seamen

Koriko 303 (860 ton), a cargo ship loaded with limestone on its way from Busan port to Dobghae port, was struck by a rogue wave and ran onto a rock 200 meters off the coast of Gungchon port in Samcheok City of Gangwon Province, leaving three men dead. The coast guard helicopter took two days to rescue four seamen from drowning due to severe weather condition. The coast guard helicopter is rescuing seamen from the wrecked Koriko 303.
