Regarding the Democratic Labor Partys Representative Roh Hoe-chans act of disclosing, at the National Assemblys interpellation sessions on the government on November 11, the minutes of the first meeting of the Future of ROK-U.S. Alliance Policy Initiative (FOTA) that was held in April last year, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) revealed on November 12 it is making considerations on requesting investigation to the related organization.
At the interpellation session on the government, Rep. Roh quoted the minutes of the FOTA and claimed that stationing the U.S. Forces in Korea Second Division south of the Han River is for precision bombing against North Korea and a precision bombing strategy is currently included in the operation plan.
On this, the MND explained, What was mentioned at the meeting then was that the current location of the U.S. forces was not efficient in executing defense operations in case of invasion from North Korea, and precision bombing against North Korea is currently not included in the operation plan.
