Police seek arrest warrant for alleged teenage prostitute

The Seoul Chungbu Police Station sought an arrest warrant Sunday for an 18-year-old girl suspected of giving sexual favors to hundreds of men to earn money to buy tickets to pop music concerts.

The girl, a middle school dropout only identified as Park, allegedly had sex on 300 different occasions since October last year, charging 50,000 to 100,000 won for each encounter. Police also booked three men, including an office worker named Chon, 46, and a 31-year-old Japanese student studying in Korea in connection with the case.

Police said that Park, a fan club member of a local pop group, ran away from home in Pusan in October to follow the group on its concert tour and served as a prostitute for adult men she met on streets of Pusan, Seoul and Inchon. She allegedly told the men that she needed money for lodging at inns.

Meanwhile, the Seoul Songbuk Police Station Saturday sought an arrest warrant for an actor known only as Ha, 23, who allegedly had sex with two teenaged girls in his car.

Ha, who reportedly served as an extra in movies like ``Siren,`` is said to have met one of the girls, a 15 year old, in a ``telephone conversation room`` toward the end of last month. Police said gave them 150,000 won each to have sex with him.
