Hyundai Glovis launches one-stop sales of used cars via phone call

Hyundai Glovis launches "Autobell" service on Monday that enables customers to sell easily used cars via phone call.

In the Autobell system, a car owner makes a phone call to the call center (1600-0080) or submits a sales request form in the website (www.autobell.co.kr) to sell a car. Specialized consultant visits at the time and place of the car owner’s convenience. After consulting with the owner, the consultant assesses value of the used car. If the owner is satisfied with the assessed price and shows willingness to sell, Autobell buys the car on the spot. Car value assessment is free of charge. Hyundai Glovis sells the acquired car at its own auction.

Hyundai Glovis insider says, “Hyundai Glovis has been running a used car auction brand ‘Hyundai Glovis Auto Auction’ for years. Based on accumulated data through the auction and objective car value assessment by specialized consultants, Autobell aims to enhance the transparency of used car prices.”

The company has been operating three auctions in Bundang and Sihwa of Gyeonggi Province and in Yangsang of South Gyeongsang Province since 2001. Around 1,600 used cars are sold through these auctions every week. Hyundai Glovis says, “About 80 performance parameters are checked per vehicle before auctioning, which enhances the credibility of the auction. Price standardization is pursued through competitive bidding where 1,270 members are participating.”
