Time picks Pres. Park as one of ‘100 most influential people’

Time magazine has selected South Korean President Park Geun-hye as one of this year’s “100 most influential people in the world.”

Time named 100 people, including 35 women in five areas – titans, leaders, artists, pioneers and icons. President Park has found herself among the most influential women together with U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama and U.S. pop singer Beyonce.

In an article contributed to the magazine, Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has stressed that Park is the first woman president of South Korea. “Madame Park Geun-hye is an inspiration for all women trying to break through the glass ceiling and for all individuals committed to serving the people.”
