`We can do it!`

Twenty women whose boyfriends are serving their mandatory military service pump up their fists to express commitment Wednesday in an interactive event on patrol of barbed-wire fences at the inter-Korean border hosted by the 6th Division of the South Korean Army in Cheolwon County, Gangwon Province. Organized by the Defense Ministry to increase defense awareness, the program offered the women had a chance to understand their boyfriends` duty to defend their nation. They also toured the Second Underground Tunnel dug by North Korea and the Peace Observatory and saw surveillance work at the heavily fortified border.
