Burned highway section

Workers of the Korea Expressway Corp. dismantle Thursday part of the Seoul Ring Expressway near Bucheon damaged by a fire that started on an oil truck 10 days ago. The corporation since Dec. 16 had been removing asphalt on the road surface and placed temporary steel buttresses. The steel beams and protective walls will be removed after splitting them into pieces. Thirty days will be needed to complete the removal. The corporation said the section will be reopened on April 16 next year.
