Olympic figure skating champion Kim Yu-na is the first Asian to make the list of the world’s 15 best-dressed sports stars by Forbes magazine.

Saying Kim is the biggest sports star in Korea and one of the highest-earning female athletes in the world, Forbes said, “She`s also quite stylish. Blogs analyze her daring, fashion-forward skating ensembles, and she supports young Korean designers.”

“Photos of the figure skater in a black blazer and T-shirt on her first day of university had Korean girls barraging online forums and department stores to figure out what brand she was wearing.”

Kim, 20, who chooses what she wears herself, likes wearing jeans and T-shirts she finds comfortable. She occasionally receives clothing sponsorships but generally wears clothes she buys in training camps in the U.S. and Canada.

She demonstrated her fashion sense by wearing a black dress at the ceremony for Time magazine’s “World’s 100 Most Influential People” and a purple dress at the award ceremony of “Sportswomen of the Year.”

Other athletes on the best-dressed list included English soccer star David Beckham, NBA basketball players Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, and Swiss tennis player Roger Federer. Female stars included equestrian competitor Charlotte Casiraghi of Monaco and tennis stars Maria Sharapova of Russia and Venus and Serena Williams of the U.S.
