[Golf] Ahn Tied for Lead in LPGA Qualifying Event

Golfer Ahn Sun-ju yesterday tied for the lead in the LPGA Sectional Qualifying Tournament after three rounds, with a combined score of 12-under 204.

Ahn, who won four times in domestic tournaments, shot a 72 yesterday at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California.

Sweden’s Anna Nordqvist shared the lead with a score of 12-under 204.

Ahn blew her lead when she lost two strokes through the 12th hole, but tied Nordqvist with birdies on the 13th and 16th.

"My driving was not great today, but I am still lead. I want to win tomorrow,” Ahn said.

Michelle Wie fired a two-under 70 for fourth place and a combined seven-under 209. She is likely to join the top 30 players to advance to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament.
