The “2007 job fair,” hosted jointly by the Labor ministry and Seoul Metropolitan government, opened at the COEX Convention Center in Samseong-dong, Seoul, on September 13. Under the theme of a “job fair with sympathy beyond generations,” there were long lines of middle-aged and aged job-seekers, two hours prior to the opening. The fair planned to recruit about 3,000 employees; however it is estimated that approximately 33,000 job-seekers have just visited the job fair. The festival will be held until September 14, and the online fair will last through September 21.
