Job Requirements In the Eyes of Job Seekers

University students who are seeking employment believe that to find a job, they need at least a 2.8 qualification certifications, a minimum grade point average of 3.7 out of 4.5, and a TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) of at least 693.

Students spent a monthly average of 280,000 won on classes last year to prepare themselves for the job hunt process.

The Korea Employment Information Service, which is affiliated to the Ministry of Labor, disclosed these statistics on Sunday based on a survey of 3,723 university students in June.

According to the Korea Employment Information Service, university students replied that they need a 2.8 qualification certification score in order to find a job.

They also thought that they would need at least 693 points out of 1,000 on the TOIEC exam.

The student job seekers surveyed also replied that language skills were the most difficult to improve (17 percent).
