Election Day

A large number of Sunnis are expected to vote in the general election in Iraq tomorrow (December 15). In the Sunni-controlled city of Ramadi, masked Sunni insurgents armed with guns are carrying a placard on a candidate backed by Islamic Action Front, a Sunni political party, on December 12. The placard reads:“Vote for those who protect the rights of the Iraqi people.”
