Using Liquor to Fight Pine Blight

Government employees and residents in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul sprinkle Makgeolli, the Korean traditional liquor, in a pine tree park in Ui-dong yesterday where 1,000 pine trees 100 years old are planted. Makgeolli is known to be rich in protein, amino and organic acids, and mineral that can help restore the health of pine trees.
