A village is made when a road meets across another, and a ferry is made when road and water come together. Road, water, and people have made a city now, and the newly-reborn Cheonggyecheon Stream runs alongside Seoul again.

The stream emerged from its cover of concrete where it had been buried for nearly half a century on October 1. The photo shows a night view of Cheonggyecheon from Cheonggye Plaza, which is located in front of the Dong-A Ilbo building, Sejongno, Seoul.
