Heat Wave Makes Asphalt Road Shimmer

Heat shimmers off of an asphalt road in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. On June 23, Seoul’s high temperature during the day reached 30.8 degrees Celsius. Most parts of the nation, including Yeongcheon (34.5 degrees), and Daegu, Gyeongbuk Province, experienced midsummer heat levels five to six degrees higher than last year.
