The Committee Representing National Mayors, Governors, and Ward Heads, chaired by Gwon Moon-yong, mayor of Gangnam-gu, held a conference in EXCO located in Daegu on Aril 27, and passed a resolution to refuse auditing provincial governments.

The committee, composed of 19 chiefs heading provincial governments, said that the scheduled inspection by the Board of Audit and Inspection has political motivations linked to the provincial elections next year and therefore should be discontinued. The committee decided to refuse auditing if the board continues the auditing as intended.

The committee will soon visit the Board and officially request the stoppage of auditing.
