“I love you, Ji-sung.” Park Ji-sung, PSV Eindhoven striker and protégé of coach Guus Hiddink, scored his first goal in the Dutch pro league.

At a home match held at Philips Stadium on Aug. 24, the Korean striker made two assists and a goal, leading the team`s 6-1 victory against Willem II. It was the first win for PSV in the 2003-2004 league.

Now that he scored his first goal in the Netherlands, Park seems to be better positioned for this season`s lineup – Park made his debut back in January this year, but had few chance to play on the ground to knee injury.

Coach Hiddink earlier scolded him for inept play at a season opening match with Roda JC last week, and it must have worked for Park. He penetrated Willem II`s defense on the day, passing the ball to forefront striker Kezman.

Park snatched the ball at 32 minutes in the first half and moved ahead to pass it to Rom Medal, who broke the 1-1 tie. At 13 minutes in the second half, Park made another assist for Kezman. 5 minutes later, he came up with his debut goal. Park snatched the ball on the midfield and penetrated the left to score the team`s 6th goal.

Lee Young-pyo also played full 90 minutes as left wingback. Song Jong-guk with Feyenoord also played at the match against Heerenven, but the team lost 0-1.

Lee Chun-soo, who is with Real Sociedad in Spain, made two threatening attempts at a match with Inter Milan, and was replaced by Alonsoe at 22 minutes in the second half. Real lost to Inter Milan by 0-1.
