Korea becomes ‘concert paradise’ in Christmas and year-end.

50 concerts will be held targeting Christmas and year-end and 150 thousand people are likely to enjoy them in Seoul from 20th till the end of the year.

However, joy and grief alternate singers who perform concert. Some singers such as Shin Seung-hun, ‘Yurisangja’, ‘Yun Do-hyun band’, ‘Buhwal’, Lee Soo-young, ‘Cherry Filter’, WAX recorded sellout but some got cancelled off.

Concert of foreign artists like Brian Adams didn’t reach its expectation, either.

‘Yun Do-hyun band’ mobilized 40 thousand audiences in concert tour since November. Their Seoul concert, which is going to be held at fencing stadium in Olympics Park on 24th, 25th, is about to be sold out as there are only hundred tickets left among 12,000 seats. 02-2166-2881

Shin Seung-hun’s concert will be held two times at convention hall, COEX, Seoul on 24th sold out 12,000 seats and ‘scalper’s tickets’ are appearing. Shin Seung-hun thought about one extra concert but gave up due to exhaustion.

Recent new album of ‘Yurisangja’ is fetching good response and he performs concert at 600 years memorial hall of Sungkyunkwan university on 20~31st. 90% of 12,000 seats have been sold out already. ‘Yurisangja’ is discussing about additional concert. 02-3141-1720

Rock band ‘Buwhal’, after reuniting with Lee Seung-cheol after 13 years this autumn, announced new album and are propagating ‘Buhwal’ through concert tours and has drawn enthusiastic applause from old fans. 7 thousand of 8 thousand seats of two times concert, which will be held at the Atlantic Ocean Hall of COEX at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., on 31, has been sold out. 02-337-8474

‘Jawoorim’’s concert that is supposed to take place at Jamsil indoor stadium, Seoul Olympics Main Stadium at 9 p.m., on 31 has sold out 80% of 9,700 seats and new rock band ‘cherry filter’ also recorded sellout in two times encore concert, which will be at New Millennium hall of Konkuk University (02-553-1664) at 7:30, on 30 and 31.

‘Cherry Filter’ is rock band that climbed up the charts by ‘Romantic Cat’, etc among singers.

Among senior singers, folk concert of Yang Hee-eun is going well. 2,000 seats among 4,000 for four times concert at Seoul Kyoyuk Munhwa Hoekwan on 20~23rd are booked. 02-573-0038

And concerts of Lee So-ra, Lee Soo-young and WAX are progressing strongly. 12,000 seats of Lee So-ra concert at Ewha Womans University to be held four times on 23,24th are sold out and Lee Soo-young’s concert to be held two times at Yonsei University major hall on 24, 25th are sold out, too. Concert (5000 seats) of WAX at Convention Hall of COEX on 25th finished the reservation already.

Concerts at the end of this year increased 30~40% than last year. Live concert of singers is spotlighted as event for family and lovers; therefore, many new singers prepared concert hurriedly this year but they are suffering due to low reservation.

A concert concerned said, “Feature of singers who sold out, is to have fixed fans constantly through various live concerts ” and added “Seeing the situation, singers who can’t perform concert would be dismissed. ”
