PIFF Opening Movie `Seashore` Sold Out in 2 Minutes

Tickets for `Seashore,` a Korean movie (directed by Kim Gi-deok, starring Jang Dong-gun) which will open the 7th Pusan International Film Festival on Nov. 14, sold out in two minutes and four seconds over the Internet.

The PIFF Organizing Committee said on Oct. 29 after online ticket sales that some 800 tickets sold in two minutes and four seconds for the opening movie. Tickets for closing movie `Dols (directed by Gitano Dakesi)` sold out in five minutes and six seconds, the committee added.

Industry officials cited popularity of movie star Jang Dong-gun as the reason for hot sales.

Ticket for other movies joining the festival will be available at Pusan Bank branches or PIFF Web site (www.piff.or.kr) from Nov. 4 through 23.
