London Investor Exposition Promoted by the Deputy Premier

Following New York, the U.S., there will be a large investor exposition promoted by the Deputy Premier early next month.

The Ministry of Finance and Economy stated on the 16th, "the Deputy Premier and the Minister of Finance and Economy, Chon, Yoon-Chul, would explain to the international institutional investors in London about the status and prediction of Korean economy and outcome of the reformation, and invite to invest in Korea."

It is observed that this exposition will help to find strategic investors in relation to the selling of banks that received public fund because the world-renowned banks that have headquarters in Europe such as BNP Pariva, Alliantz, and ING Bearing currently have equities in Korean banks and show interest in privatization of those banks.

The Deputy Premier Chon will visit the world renowned credit rating company 피치 and discuss about raising the credit rating of Korea, and prior to that, he will visit the 131st World Fair Organization General Assembly in Paris, France, and give a key note speech and promote to host the World Fair in Yeosu in 2010. After the London exposition, he is planning attend the 4th ASEM Financial Minister`s Assembly in Copenhagen, Denmark where financial ministers and heads of major international financial organizations from 10 Asian countries and 15 European countries beginning July 5th.
