[Opinion] Still, Monarchy?

If we observe our living environment looking back at the recent past, everybody will be surprised by the speed of change.

The change that western technology civilization has caused for the past 250 years is enormous and beyond comparison with comprehensive historical change that mankind experienced.

Though it hasn`t been half a century since Korea participated full-scale in such stream, change of our lifestyle is getting faster, so, everyday life experience is just surprising.

If old kings came and see bathrooms, which are in middle class apartment, they would be so jealous, and if old nobles see automobiles, which workers drive, they would shout that their life was in vain.

However, social consciousness or system that is established once, despite such change of physical environment cannot be changed at all.

The conflict and repugnance between the two is pressurizing our daily life by a huge weight.

It is doubtful that how many adult consider their life as joyful by satisfaction of physical conditions, moreover, most teenagers regard Korea society as corrupt one following one research, and it is also serious.

These facts can be related to analysis that can be connected to poverty and war matter.

However, it would be better to connect recent matters with smaller viewpoint than that.

Above all else, the one who ran for primary of Presidential candidate in ruling party, revealed political fund and declared conscious confession, however, he got a blunder and dropped on the way to election.

His confession was shocking and fresh despite what the motive was.

If he tried to reform the dark aspect of Korean politics, his getting `wang ta` shows us that current politics, which urges democracy all the time, is still in deep pre modern political convention.

On the contrary advanced country regards C.E.O`s capacity as one of the judgment condition for stock prices, but in Korea, it is the most important condition, that which enterprise has how much distance from the political world.

It was conventional example that even some press also carried out important appointment on the basis of person belonging to president`s birthplace.

What those examples signify is that main rule, which dominates Korean society still, is premier monarchy domination.

Society still, is in pre modern monarchy domination.

This is reverse of rationality and theory which is required for science technology society to move ahead directly.

The power of monarchy is not to satisfy mutual demand by exchanging gifts as it was seen in primary society, but to distribute material demand by power.

Saying by history, this system has the longest tradition.

It revealed its modern aspect, in Korea, in a new mercantilism during development time.

This regime justifies it by achieving economic development in the meaning of physical aspect.

If it were not so, it will be expelled by its crisis as North Korea is facing today.

Such system causes problems in Korea, internally from divided economic structure, recruitment of new technical man power after finishing elementary development and externally from its applied market economy in full- scale in which demand-supply is decided by price.

Therefore, monarchy tradition conflicts with rationality and the situation like non-standard society is rising in pan-society.

It has been 10 years since such tradition expanded and re-produced; therefore it might be difficult to set free from such fetters.

In economy bubble situation is prospected in which it is hard to understand rationally such as, rising trend of stock prices without reason or sudden increase of household loan which can`t be calculated.

Therefore, consciousness following the power doesn`t get rid of them at all.

In addition, we expected before the improvement of relationship between the North and the South in order to break free from economic obstacles, and now we expect World Cup, under the situation that doesn`t have rational basic condition still.

Although the event will be held successfully, it is hard to expect miraculous fruits on the rotten root.

We should ponder the reason why big change was not withdrawn even though bigger events like Olympics were held.
