The representatives of the South, who had an extreme conflict over whether they should participate in the opening and closing ceremony of 8.15 grand festival for the unification held in the Unification Memorial Tower at Pyongyang, decided to participate all the planned programs until the 21st.

The head of the South Korean representatives, father Kim Jong-Soo, said, ``we smoothed out all domestic conflicts. Especially we are propelling an event of dinner party with Kim Jong-Il`s lead in order to revive the true meaning of the festival that had been faded by the conflict over the place of the festival.``

Kim Jong-Il will arrive at Pyongyang on the 18th by the train after his visits to Russia, and it will attract attention whether he will have the dinner party or not.

`Unification solidarity` group who created a stir by participating in several prohibited events also decided to follow this decision.

Father Kim had a meeting with Min Wha-Hyup and Hur Hyuck-Pil representatives of the North in the Korea Hotel and decided to issue a joint statement. The statement will deal with the active civil interaction between the North and the South and the participation of the North in 8.15 grand festival at Seoul.

Hur, vice president of the representatives of the North, expressed their complain saying ``some of the representatives of the South refused to participate in the opening ceremony and it created difficulty for the program from the beginning.``

Meanwhile, the government announced, ``some of the representatives did not follow government`s order and we are reviewing the punishment for them.``

Meanwhile, `the center of 2001 people`s joint event for fulfillment of the 6.15 joint declaration` at Seoul issued a statement for an apology and said, ``We will appraise the results of the grand festival to make more positive and make effort for the talks and cooperation between the North and the South.``
