U.S. gives top honor to Korean officer

Korean Joint Chief of Forces Cho Young-Gil received the Meritorious Achievement Award, which is the highest honor given by the U.S. government to military personnel of a friendly nation.

He was presented with the award August 1 by the commander of the U.S. Army in Korea Thomas Schwartz at the Yongsan Base in Seoul.
