Meryl Streep transforms into Trump at gala

American actress Meryl Streep appeared in the annual Shakespeare performance held in New York's Central Park on Monday night, dressed up like Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

The audience burst into laughter when they saw the reddish face, side parting of blonde hair, loose suit, plump midsection, and a long red necktie hanging loose. Her imitation of Trump's voice and gestures impressed the audience and one of them said that she should win another Academy Award. Streep has received the award three times. The New York Times reported that Streep volunteered to play Trump.

The 66-year-old multi-awarded actress has been a longtime advocate of the Democratic Party and officially announced that she supports Hillary Clinton for the election.
