Kia Motors takes preorders for ‘New K9’ luxury sedan

Kia Motors will on Monday start taking preorders for all models of the New K9 through all its sales branches nationwide, before unveiling in mid-November the face-lifted flagship luxury sedan, which now includes models equipped with 5,000-cc engines.

The K9 model comes with the “V8 Tau 5.0-liter GDI engine” deployed with eight cylinders in a V-shape, adding to luxurious feel and grandiose image of the premium-size car. The VIP seat in the rear right-hand side comes with a new foot stand.

All models of the car come with three basic options, including a smart trunk that opens when the driver stays behind of the car holding a smart key for three seconds or longer, a two-door console armrest in the rear seat section, and an electronic shift lever. The 3.3-Iiter model is priced at 49.9 million won (45,600 U.S. dollars) to 53.3 million won (48,700 dollars), the 3.8-liter model at 56.8 million won (51,900 dollars) to 72.6 million won (66,400 dollars), and the 5.0-liter model at 86.2 million won (78,800 dollars).
