Flying into the blue sky

Skiers race down a steep hill Sunday at the ski cross European Cup in Grasgeren, Germany. Ski cross is a freestyle ski competition in which four or five skiers start simultaneously atop an inclined course with jumps and woops, then race for the finish line. The sport debuted at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
