The funeral for the two civilians killed by North Korea`s Nov. 23 artillery attack on Yeonpyeong Island was held 9:30 a.m. Monday at a hospital in Incheon. More than 100 mourners paid a tearful farewell, including Incheon Mayor Song Young-gil, ruling Grand National Party Secretary General Won Hee-ryong, and the human resources director of the Marine Corps Kim Hyeong-kuk. The bodies of Kim Chi-baek and Bae Bok-cheol were found at a construction site at Yeonpeyong`s Marine base a day after the attack. Bereaved relatives of the deceased had refused to hold the funeral for nearly two weeks due to compensation.
