Humanoids Dancing and Doing House Chores

The Korea Institute of Science and Technology yesterday features the humanoid robot “Maru” at its research center in northern Seoul. Korea has become the second nation after Japan to have a humanoid robot that can move its upper body while walking. The think tank also displayed a robot that can watch and follow human movement. Shown here is the household robot “Maru-M” carrying a cup by imitating a person’s movement. The robots unveiled will also be exhibited at the 2008 Robot World at the COEX Center in southern Seoul Thursday through Sunday.
