In England, Chelsea heated up its chase, reducing the deficit with Manchester United.

Chelsea, ranked second in the Premier League, beat Manchester United 2-0 in Manchester on Saturday, thanks to an own goal by Richard Dunne and Salomon Kalou`s second-half strike.

Notching up the victory, Chelsea continued its 16-game unbeaten streak, including three wins in a row. Now, Chelsea won an aggregate 74 points with 22 wins, three losses and eight ties, while Manchester 76 with 24 wins four losses and four ties. Third-place holder Arsenal with 20 wins, two losses and 11 ties tied 1-1 with Liverpool at its home, adding only one more point to reach 71.

Korean Premier Leaguers Lee Young-pyo (31, Tottenham Hotspur) and Seol Ki-hyeon (29, Fulham) did not play. Tottenham tied 1-1 with Blackburn Rovers, and Fulham lost 1-3 to Sunderland.
