Tottenham Beats Arsenal to Carling Cup Final

Lee Young-pyo’s team, Tottenham beat Arsenal 5-1 yesterday in the second round of the English Carling Cup Semifinals. Lee played out the entire 90 minutes without scoring any goals.

Tottenham drew the first round 1-1. By winning the second, Tottenham recorded 6-2 over Arsenal and advanced to the final game. Previously, Tottenham won a victory over Arsenal in November 1999. Thus, the former recorded a victory in 22 matches, or 9 years, since then. Tottenham will take on the winner of the Chelsea v. Everton game in the final on February 24.

In the third minute, Tottenham’s Jermaine Jenas shook the net. Again at 27, an Arsenal player kicked a goal into his team’s own net, ending the first half as 2-0 victory for the enemy. Robert Keane, Aaron Lennon and Steed Malbranque added three more goals for Tottenham. Emmannuel Adebayor scored one goal at the 70th minute, preventing a shutout game for his team Arsenal.
