After Grand National Party’s supreme committee member Lee Jae-oh said, “We will not stand for those who are still thinking they are running a primary election,” supporters of the party’s former chairwoman Park Geun-hye are strongly opposing the remark. Combined with reports that Lee blamed Park, who recently attended an alpine club meeting supporting former representative Seo Cheong-won, it is known that Park was quite furious saying to her aide over the phone, “How could they do this to me?”

Yoo Seung-min, who is one of Park’s supporters, said on Tuesday, “Lee is a stumbling block for the party’s harmony, and hurting Park, who lost the primary election, will not do any good for the party.” He added, “Only presidential candidate Lee Myung-bak can solve this problem by rebuking Lee, and it will be the first step toward party cooperation.”

Park’s supporters Yoo Seung-min, Choi Gyeong-hwan, Lee Hye-hun and Eom Ho-seong during the primary campaign were known to have held a meeting to take measures in response to Lee’s remark on October 29.
