Wintering in Korea

A family of white-naped cranes, a winter species, are seen leisurely wandering about Gimpo, Gyeonggi, on October 22. Designated national treasure number 203, the rare cranes inhabit the riverbanks of the Amur River in Russia and pass the winter in Korea and Japan. This year the cranes arrived in Korea 10 days earlier than last year.
