Pakistani Journalists Want Government to Stop Violence

Pakistani journalists are protesting the brutal police crackdown on anti-government demonstration in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, on September 30. On September 28 and 29, there were demonstrations opposing current President Pervez Musharraf running again for office at the presidential elections scheduled for October 6. The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists declared this day as a day of darkness, when victims of police brutality increased and even journalists were subject to violence.
