The USS Ronald Reagan, the world’s biggest aircraft carrier named after the former U.S. president, entered the Port of Busan on March 22 to conduct Reception Staging Onward-Movement and Integration and Operation Foal Eagle 2007 (RSOI/FE 07), exercises that will run through the end of March. The Nimitz-class carrier, rated at 102,000 tons of displacement, was commissioned in 2003. With a length of 1,092 feet and deck width of 257 feet, its flight deck area is equivalent to three football stadiums. It cost 4.5 trillion won and has about 5,600 crewmembers on board.
