Seol Ki-hyun (27, Reading FC) has earned himself a solid reputation, with the English media selecting him as one of the England Premier League’s “Best 11.” It is not an easy feat to be selected among the best 11 of the Premier League, which includes many of the world’s best soccer players.

On October 2, Seol Ki-hyun was added to the list of the best 11 by sports channel ESPN Soccernet (http://soccernet.espn.go.com). Also last week, ESPN Soccernet picked Seol as a member of the “Team of the Week,” which is a selection of players from different positions who played the most impressive games in the Premier League. Seol was also selected by Soccernet as one of the best 11 right-midfielders in a 3-4-3 formation. It is the fourth time that Seol has been placed among the best 11 by English media including BBC and Sky Sports.

Soccernet said, “Seol Ki-hyun has proved himself to be a sharp player. By running the game, Seol gave West Ham a hard time.”

Seol fired in a lightning-like shot from a distance of 30 meters, just two minutes into the first half of the game at the 2006~2007 Premier League game against West Ham United. Coach Steve Coppell said, “The team was able to take the lead with Seol Ki-hyun’s impressive goal. Seol will get the headlines.” England’s Sky Sports commented, “It was a superb shot. His goal knocked the opposition down.” Sky Sports gave Seol the second highest player ranking on the team, with a score of seven.
