On September 22, Lee Ji-young (Himart), was suited for the big stage; the final round of the Shinsegae Cup, the 28th Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) championships at Jayu Country Club (Par 72) in Yeoju, Gyeonggi province.
Lee Ji-young used her superb long-distance drive of near 300 yards to make six birdies and came from behind to finish at 16 under par, 200 strokes, tying the record for the least number of shots for 54 holes in the KLPGA. She was two shots ahead of the duo of Ahn Seon-ju (Himart) and Hong Ran (Isu Engineering & Construction) who tied for second place at 14 under par and 202 strokes. The reward was 60 million won. Lee Ji-young, who was in third place the day before, trailed the lead by three strokes, but caught up by the 13th hole, and at the 15th hole (Par 4), made a birdie to gain the sole lead. After Hong Ran joined her in the lead, Lee made a three-meter birdie putt at hole 16 to claim the title.
