Park Ji-sung of Manchester United added more attack points under his belt with his fifth assist of the season.

About 35 minutes into the first half of United’s match against West Bromwich, Park assisted Paul Scholes’ first goal of the match for Manchester. The British newspaper The Independent picked Park Ji-sung as the MVP of the game.

Park drove the ball into the penalty box and took a dive after sending the ball rolling to Scholes, who rushed in and kicked the ball hard into the net with his left foot.

Manchester won the match, 3-0 by adding two more goals later on. Both goals were headers that came from Rio Ferdinand and Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The assist puts Park third in the league’s assist rankings.

By winning the match,, Manchester kept its hold on second place with 12 wins, four draws, and two losses, which trails Chelsea’s record of 16 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss.

Chelsea has won all 10 of its home matches this year.

Lee Young-pyo (Tottenham Hotspur) played his sixth consecutive fulltime game against Birmingham City. Tottenham won, 2-0 score.
