Round Moon Seems to Be Right in Front of Us

On the night of July 21, it felt as if the full moon above the Temple of Poseidon near Athens, Greece was right in front of us. The earth and the moon were approximately 357,000 kilometers apart with each other on that day. Experts said that the distance would never be as narrow as this until 2007. The minimum and maximum distances between the earth and the moon are 356,400km and 406,700km, respectively.
