The Korea Society (Donald P. Gregg, president and chairman of the Board and former U.S. ambassador to South Korea), an academic institute which aims to promote exchanges between Korea and the U.S., is planning to offer a course on Korea to American teachers.

The Institute announced on July 19 that it would offer a course titled “Korea and the Silk Road” to a total of 33 people, including 24 teachers of New York City, from July 25 to 29.

Participants will have an opportunity to build balanced views of the history of the North East Asian region as they learn about the Three Kingdom’s era, the origin of Korean culture, and the infiltration of Korean culture into Japan during the five-day course. Most of the participants teach world history in high school.
