“Have you heard of the song for Park?”

A song that PSV Eindhoven made for Taegeuk Fighter Park Ji-sung (24) has been introduced to Korean nuriggun (netizens) and is becoming increasingly popular.

Fans sing this song in PSV Eindhoven’s home games, and now several personal blogs on the Internet and portal sites are fussing with those trying to download this song. Many Korean soccer fans are using this song for their mobile “coloring” service so that their callers can hear the song while waiting.

This song is included in the CD titled “PSV Kampioen-04 simple the best 05,” which PSV Eindhoven produced in order to commemorate their championship in 2004-2005. Of the 23 songs, the 16th is “Song for Park.” The song is originally from “Papa's got a brand new pig bag” by Pigbag, the British band. Its lyrics are from the cheering for Park that the PSV Eindhoven fans have used to sing.

In the beginning of the song, a guy shouts first, saying, “Ladies and gentleman, here’s the right midfielder, a goal machine from Korea, Park Ji-sung!” Then, till the end of the song, the man keeps repeating Park’s name in Dutch.

The CD was released on April 20 and now ranks second on the Netherlands album chart.
