On April 28, there was a Geobukseon parade on the Han River, Seoul, celebrating Chungmu-gong Yi Sun-shin’s 460th birthday. The Geobukseon operated along a route spanning the Han River Bridge, Yeouido, Bamseom, and the Worldcup Fountain for one and half hours. A total of 40 boys from the Sea Explorers of Korea dressed in naval uniforms from the Joseon period were on board that day. Operation of this particular Geobukseon, which has been restored to its original size in 1990, had been suspended in 1991. The Seoul City plans to re-operate the Geobukseon on every fourth Saturday of each month.
