The 60th Anniversary Independence Day Commemoration

In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Independence, the National Assembly Library is opening an exhibition titled, “The Silent War: Speaking Out On Japan’s Distortion of History,” from March 11 to March 27 on the second floor of the Yeouidodong main building, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The exhibition will focus on distortions in Japanese textbooks, Japanese soldiers’ comfort women, the territorial problems concerning the Dokdo islets, Japan’s forced draft victimization pictures, models, and video footage. A petition encouraging 10,000,000 people to turn out for “Dokdo Day’ will be ongoing.
