Motion to Extend Deployment Period of Zaytun Unit for One Year to Be Passed

Cabinet members passed a motion to extend the deployment period of Korean troops in the war on terror during yesterday’s Cabinet meeting convened by Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan at the Central Government Complex in Seoul. The motion calls for the extension of the deployment period of the Zaytun unit dispatched in Iraq and the medics and engineers in Afghanistan for one year until next December.
