Use New Products and Save Money

Posted March. 24, 2004 23:19,

“Use brand new products at a discount price.”

Potential customers can visit a department store or discount market, or compare prices and specs on the internet when they are purchasing home appliances.

An alternative way to buy them more cheaply is to join a “customer experience team.”

LG Electronics lately released an air cleaner, “Klena,” and is collecting 3,000 people for an experience team. Customer responses will be collected in order of arrival until March 31. When they use goods in advance and write some essays and send them, they can purchase the products at a 30 percent discount.

LG Electronics is launching the event since they believe that the event is the best way to present the advantages of eliminating bad smells by unique-technology filters, and prevent second-hand pollution.

Lately, LG Electronics has collected experience teams consisting of parents of students for their release of imaging appliances, which combined a projection TV and a hard-disk recorder together. The price also was discounted by 30 percent.

Samsung Electronics is giving an opportunity to make use of a color laser printer for free. Customers can use their new color laser printer (CLP-500) free of charge for a week if they submit a paper answering simple questions. If they want to buy the product afterwards, the product costing 1,580,000 won will be discounted to 880,000 won as a way of rewarding them for their efforts and if they exchange their existing printers.

Samsung Electronics is thinking about extending this free event, which was originally planned only for March to the end of this year.

Daewoo Electronics isn’t active in any events, but gives discounts to customer experience teams whenever they produce new-conceptual products such as the no-detergent washer.

Companies only require the teams to write and send in their opinions once a month, so there are no big responsibilities required from customers.

An assistant chief of LG Electronics, O Se-cheon said, “We will recruit customer experience teams whenever new conceptual products are released,” adding, “To customers who are interested in products, it is good way saving on expenses.”
