Soon-to-be-married Park Jung-eun (Samsung Life) showed off her stroking hands on her three-point shots.
Samsung Life held off Shinsege at home with a 74-58 victory and notched two consecutive wins at the 2004 Woo-Ri Bank women`s pro-basketball game held in Suwon on January 30.
Samsung Life has a 11-game winning streak against Shinsege since the summer league playoffs in 2002.
Park Jung-eun scored 24 points, Byun Yun-Ha added 19 points, and Kim Gae-ryung
had 15 points and eight rebounds, while Lee Mi-sun scored 14 points along with nine boards as the four national team members did their jobs.
Especially, Park Jung-eun, who is getting married this May, made five three-point shots.
Sung Shin Womans University graduate Lee Yoo-mi was scoreless in her 20 minutes but played a prominent role in Samsung`s win with tight defense.
Samsung Life head coach Jung Mi-Ra commented " The national team members always need to perform average at the least. Today these six women did the dirty work."
On the other hand, Shinsege, with a new commander Kim Yoon-ho, fell into a two-game losing slump with the loss of Jung Sung-min (Kook-Min Bank) and Lee Un-joo(Keum-Ho Life) who left the team.
Shinsege showed weakness on offense, which has averaged 57 points in two games, and
revealed a loophole in the teams performance.
Shinsege`s good looking star Shin He-in came off the bench as a substitute in the
last minute of the 4th quarter and played 2 minutes and 21 seconds but ended up scoreless at the game against Hyundai on January 28. Shinsege`s Jang Sun-hyung scored 23 points.
Samsung Life trailed 13-20 in the first quarter, but Park Jung-eun poured 11 points
and contained Shinsege with seven points in the second quarter and ended the first half
35-27 and held on to win.
